September

New babies are growing so fast and personalities are just starting to bud..new pics just posted on their new arrivals page

Tamara says Wendy has settled right into home life after being a show girl and has fallen in love with her Grand Pa, Jeffrey. Seems she and Auntie Suzi/Sophie are still trying to find a common bond :)

Flurry has gone to her new home with Karen & Scott in NC and we are so enjoying all the adorable pics of her they are sending.

Duffer & Gracie came and stayed a few days while Louane & Denny headed to Florida.

We finally bred both Alley & Peter. New Arrivals here now with many thanks to Gina!

August

Ooopps, I almost forgot. Alley, Ace, Slider and Hogan all renewed their annual CERFs again this month. Happy to report, all were clear. That’s finishes up all of our cockers here from 2009. Whew!

Frostee passed his Patella test and received an OFA Good. He’s not one to be all that crazy about the dog show scene but we may just try him a couple more times this fall to see if his maturity has improved his opinion of dog shows :)

Received some darling photos from Tamara of Jeffrey & Suzi (whom she calls Sophie). As usual, they seem like they are enjoying being with her and Steve. One of their new pics is posted here on the right. This weekend, Wendy comes home with them from showing to join the family.

Heard from Kelvin’s Mom, Linda. She says as usual he goes from zero to 90 in half a second. She’s done wonders with him and I’m hoping to convince her to compete him in obedience since he’s taking to it so well.

YEA! Despite blowing her coat, Wendy finished with a sweet 4 point major giving her dam Dimple her 4th champion from her 1st litter. Congratulations to Tamara and Steve who own Wendy as well as our Jeffrey (Wendy’s grand sire) and Suzi.

We’re excited to see pictures of several new grand babies this month.

Whiff has new babies at Cplay cockers. Houston also has new babies at Cplay—these are also Whiff grand pups. Wyatt has new kids from 2 litters at Kim-Ric in both the solid and parti varieties.

We wish good fortune to their breeders and look forward to seeing some fo these youngsters in the ring in late 2009 and 2010

July

Another Dimple daughter, Sky has finished her Championship requirements and is now CH. Kamps-Normandy-Javalin’s Flying High.

Nighty, our Jan 09 ASC Futurity BOV is now CH. Kamps-Normandy-Javalin’s Night Flight. She finished handled by Harriett all from BBE. Many congrats to Gina & Harriet.

Her sister, Sky picked up two majors in Dallas this weekend and only needs 2 singles to finish and sister, Wendy just needs a major.

Poppy, J-Bee’s Just Watch Me Pop (Jeffrey X Meme) had her very 1st show yesterday at 6 months at went Sweeps Parti BOS and Best Of Winners at Cocker Spaniel Club of Southern CA Specialty handled by Marie Santos. Congratulations to Poppy and Judy!

June

Early yesterday morning (June 27) we learned of the passing of Jack Kamps, Harriet’s husband. Our heart felt condolences to Harriet and her family.

Amelia finished her championship with a Specialty Major under Dr Harry Smith. Her sisters are right on her heels and should finish also in short order.

RESULTS JUST IN- Hogan with his 4 champions out of Patty ended 2008 as #2 Parti Stud Dog and #6 All Variety.

Patty ended 2008 as #1 Parti Dam and #2 All Variety.

Too bad the owner of their last pointed puppy couldn’t get her out for a finish as promised also in 2008.

Bliz is now a Korean & AKC Champions. Lee says she also Group 1.

Whiff’s daughter Misty went BOS at the Korean Cocker Club Specialty under Judge Edd Bivin. Congratulations to Lee!

May

Dimples’ 4 girls all picked up points this month in limited shows.

Judy says her Jeffrey X Meme pups (Poppy & Justin) went to their first show (spectators only because they are too young yet to enter) and were happy little campers. Looking forward to seeing them out in late June.

April

Bliz picks up another BOB in Korea.

Ameila and Nighty pick up points in Maryland and W Virginia. Wendy is in the “girlie way” and stayed home.

Sky goes BOV Sweeps at Carolina

Littermates Patty, Peter & Jeffrey all received their PERM CERFs Yea! Also passing for another year was Suzi.

Her sisters stayed home but Sky picks up points in the SE.

March

Nighty’s weekend out she garners another BOV Sweeps and a Reserve Major in CT. Her sisters took a vacation this weekend.

All four of the baby girls are back out after sitting it out growing up a bit since ASC. Now entering the 9-12 class. Amelia, Sky and Wendy all picked up points on their 9-12 debuts. The big winner was Nighty going BOV Sweeps, BOS to BOB Sweeps, Back to back Best Bred By in Specialty and taking a major at the Maryland Specialty.

Misty, Whiff’s daughter is now BIS CH Cplay Mystic Mist after her Best In Show last week in China.

Congratulations to their breeders, owners and handlers and special cookies to littermates Diamond and Whiff!

Well, we had 5 of our owned, placed and co-owns coming up due for eye CERF’s in the next month or so we did them all since we had a close by eye clinic. All passed for another year!

January 2009

Sky picks up her 1st point the weekend after ASC.

Nighty– sister to Amelia and Wendy goes Futurity BOV (our 3rd since 2005) at ASC handled all the way by my hero, Harriet!

Amelia goes 2nd in the Futurity Class to her sister and onto 4th in her huge 6-9 Regular class of 17.

Amelia, Wendy’s sister– picked up a Major at 6 months her 3rd day out and BOV over the Special the following day. And Sissy Sky went Reserve.

Wendy– One of our Hopefuls for 09 from Dimple’s 1st litter picked up a Major at 6months her 2nd day out. Sissy Amelia went Reserve.

2008—We thankfully look back at the year. We are grateful for a wonderful year and thank our co-breeders, owners and handlers who helped make it a great year for us.

This year, we finished 7 new champions. Lilly from Victory’s 1st litter and 6 out of our 2 top producing Dams, Patty and Toffee 2nd and final litters for these girls giving them 11 & 7 champions. They are both now enjoying the spoiled retirements they deserve.

On the home front, these kids picked up multiple placements at ASC and Lilly went Best of Winners at the National. 2008 brought us our 12th litter since 1994, a 1st litter out of Dimple with 4 hopefuls for 09 co-bred with my dear friends Gina & Harriet.

We saw Whiff’s 1st daughter Misty, bred by Lee finished her AKC championship, Sassy, from Diamond’s 1st litter go AOM at ASC and finish in the top 10 with numerous nice wins for her breeder/owners Steph and Judy. Wyatt had his 1st litter at Kim-Ric, Sonya her 1st at Che-Lee, Diamond, 2 at Quasar and Jeffrey one at J-Bee’s. We look forward to following them in 2009 and wish good fortune to their breeders.

December 2008

Sassy—Diamond’s 1st daughter went BOS and BBBE at Eukanuba and BOV at Long Beach and Beverly Hills. BOS at Los Encino. Many congratulations to Judy and Stephanie her breeder/owners!

Her baby 1/2 sisters out of Diamond- Tessa—Best In Sweeps Long Beach, Reserve to her sister at Beverly Hills, Natalie was Sweeps BOV & Winners at Los Encino, Winners at Beverly Hills & Long Beach. Congratulations to their breeders Brenda and Steph!

Bebe—one of our 7 2008 AKC Champions recently also completed her International, Pan American, Latino American, Puerto Rico & Grand Puerto Rico championships and went on to several BOB and Group 1’s.. Congratulations to Victor and Bebe!

Kelvin—Linda says he completed his intermediate obedience class a couple weeks ago. We’re hoping to see them at shows in 2009 going for that CD title.

Jeffrey—Has new Red & White and perhaps a tri babies out of Judy B’s adorable MeMe in CA. Can’t wait to see them grow!

November 2008

Misty– Whiff’s 1st daughter who completed her AKC CH Title is back in Korea with Lee and went BOB/BIG Goup1/Reserve Queen at the 2008 KKF show under Judge James Fregerriksen and BOB/Group 1./Reserve Queen under Judge Joe Tacker. Congratulations to Misty and Lee!

We hear Toffee is loving retirement on the Gulf of Mexico! Seems she has taken to Barbara and Pete’s grand baby as if she were her own and is also enjoying diving off their dock into the Gulf.

Diamond’s 2 young girls from her 2nd litter, Tessa and Natalie are racking up points on the west coast.

Diamond has a new litter of 7 beautiful Tri’s for Steph! Congratulations! We are anxious to watch them grow.

Jeffrey, we learned will be a new Daddy in December!

Sonya—saw pics of her 1st litter over at Cheryl’s and they are too cute.

Sassy, Diamond’s 1st daughter received her Eukanuba invitation– Congrats to Judy and Steph!

October 2008

Lilly- is home and has her home-girl hair do, Jeffrey entertained a lady friend from out West and one of our own girls has us on pins and needles as to whether or not she’ll bless us with little ones in early December. Suzi has left us to live with our dear friends in NC, Tamara and Steve.

Sassy- (Diamond daughter) for her BISS under Norman Patton at Cocker Spaniel Club of Southern California same day as Misty’s win!

June 2008

Dimple—Has her babies! Five girls and a little man. Red & whites, Black & white and Tri‘s. Litter co-bred by Kamps, Normandy and Javalin. Futurity nominated for January 09.

Bebe—New Champion! before making it to PR she stopped off for back to back Specialty majors to finish. Handled by co-breeder Cheryl Brown. Champion #7 for Dam. Congratulations to Victor and Cheryl.

Wow! Well, 3 of our kids have flown the coop!

Bliz is now in her new home with the Lee family in Korea along side her brother Whiff. She will begin showing there soon for her Korean championship. We look forward to hearing of her progress there and already know she is a valued member of the Lee household.

Whiff’s daughter Misty is here now from Korea and will begin showing shortly with Mike & Linda. Looking forward to seeing her show later this year.

Kelvin is with his new Mom Linda here in SC. He seems to be thoroughly enjoying being Linda’s lap buddy and is learning to be so “non-show dog” like :). Received some precious pictures of him from his new Mom. Seems like one spoiled cocker and we are just thrilled!

BeBe is in route to her new owner Victor in Puerto Rico where she’ll continue her AKC Championship competition.

May 2008

ASC Regular Class Results just in: Littermates Flurry 1st , Icee 3rd and Freeze 4th. These placements give their Dam Patty her 7th winning or placing puppy in addition to 2 AOM’s in ASC regular classes.

ASC Futurity Results just in: Littermates Bliz 1st, Freeze 2nd and Flurry 3rd. These coveted ribbons give their Dam Patty her 7th Futurity placing puppy.

December 2007 - Bliz picks up a 5pt major in Cleveland her 1st weekend out with Mike Pitts.

Flurry– We decided to show her just the 1st day of the 3 day Specialty in IN with Mike, she took the 4 point major (13 points) and will now sit to finish in 2008 so she can show from the classes at ASC in January.

Sassy stepped up to the plate the next 2 days of the IN Specialties and took the majors the following 2 days to FINISH and went BBE also on Sat. Huge CONGRATS to Steph and Judy!

Alley & Hogan both pass CERF

Toostie (Cassia’s black litter sister) gets both her majors in Savannah 1st weekend in December while sister Bebe goes Reserve.

November 2007 - Brought home 2 of Victory’s girls from Texas. Thanks Stan. Anxious to watch them grow.

Freeze picked up his last BBE points and is now with Pitts.

Flurry is singled out and holding for 2008.

Cassia is now a champion! Out 3 back to back weekends, except for one Reserve Major she finished in consecutive shows. Litter sister Tootsie out next weekend.

It seems I’m just not as young as I used to be...just can’t handle the back to back weekends of showing anymore. Will lay low here a few weeks to rest before heading back out later this month :)

September 2007 - The South Atlantic Cocker Spaniel Club graciously invited me to Judge their Sweepstakes Entries on September 28^th in Deland, Fla. Nancy Self Judged Regular Classes. I had a wonderful time Judging all the pretty cocker puppy exhibits at the Specialty. Show Chairman/Show Secretary: Kristina Broome

Houston is now owned by Kris Munoz, Sugar Plum Cockers in California.

Freeze picked up a few points and 2 BOV’s from BBE at 7 months this first weekend out in September. He picked up another point next time out in mid-September.

Kelvin picked up his first point in mid-September owner/breeder handled from 6-9.

Jeffrey has gone to bigger and better things. He was adopted by the Bryant’s as their new bed buddy. Tamara hopes to refresh his agility training and get him out in competition soon! He seems to be fitting right in with his new family and we feel blessed that a 6 1/2 year old stud dog can still be a family companion. He will still be at private stud—Contact us.

Flurry is adapting to “camp’ routine” at Pitts and will debut with them in early October.

Icee has been at Camp Leslie. Terri has sent several adorable pictures of her. She’ll debut with Leslie at the end of the month.

Victory –Stan reports she is just huge. Her puppies by Biggles are due late September

August – Whew! Way too hot here in the SE for shows! I think we’ll sit this month out and get the pups back out at Shows in September.

Patty, Peter, Ace, Slider, Houston, Slider, Victory & Dimple all received CERF’s for 2007. More later this year as they are due.
