A huge THANK YOU to Judges, Handlers, Co-Breeders,  Owners, Co-Owners and Mentors!

Our Champions

We started showing dogs as a hobby in 1985 and started with cocker spaniels in 1994. Cockers are our only breed.

Whenever breeding, there are some things you just can’t predict and help. But, you can do your homework and try to select the best cockers possible and make sure they are healthy with current heath testing for available maladies of the breed .

Digging deeper, you have to  ask questions, listen and learn! It’s as important to know what is behind your dogs as is it is  the dogs you plan to breed. True, not only for today’s winners, but for tomorrow’s healthy cocker spaniel.

They may be show dogs today but tomorrow not only are they companions to many but they are also the future of the breed.

Our History

Our first cocker and our foundation was a big girl named Quasar Javalin’s Get Over it, called Peaches.

I wouldn’t listen to good advice and put her in an x-pen to grow a nice show coat or put her with a handler thus, she never finished.  My bad, lesson learned!

Our first cocker litter was in 1997 from Peaches which was two puppies. The bitch, Bacall was kept and easily completed her championship.  Bacall was later bred in 2000 (our 2nd litter)  and she whelped by c-section one male that we did not keep.  As a complication from the surgery, Bacall could no longer conceive.

Our next litter in 2001 was again from Peaches. It was her last litter. From that breeding she produced 6 puppies. 4 were shown and 3 finished their championships. Of the 4 shown, 3 remain here including Patty who never finished her championship. She hated showing but has redeemed herself as wonderful producer for us.

Next  in 2004 came Patty’s first and only litter so far which resulted in 7 puppies. All seven became champions with exciting wins including Best of Winners ASC Jan 2005, 4 Futurity placements and a Futurity BOV and a 2nd place 9-12 at that same show. Numerous Best in Sweeps, Multiple ASC Award of Merits, Several Best Bred by Exhibitor awards, Group wins  and more. A fun litter!

In 2005 came our next litter of 3 from Patty’s littermate Jeffrey which was co-bred with Normandy Cockers . The 2 girls were kept for show and one went on to also win ASC BOV Futurity July 2006. That girl, Dimple, owned by Normandy finished her championship this summer.  Brother Duffer, a much loved companion, shows on occasion.

Summer 2006  Dimple’s dam, Busy was bred to Austin, the #1 Parti Cocker for 2005. We are excited about the future for this puppy.

Yes, we love our Parti-Colors! We also dabble a little bit in solids.

Our only solid, a brown girl called Toffee co-owned with Che-Lee, is a BOV Sweeps winner and placed at ASC. Her first  litter whelped 2005 produced this summer’s ASC Winner’s Bitch from the 9-12 class. Sophie, owned by Che-Lee is also a Best in Sweeps winner finishing with three 5 point majors. Sister Sonya  also recently finished her championship as did brother Wyatt.  Brother Keeper just  also finished his Championship in November  2006.

Next for 2006?

Toffee had  a mid-September litter by a lovely Black and Tan champion called Brendon owned by Kim-Ric Cockers. Patty has  late January puppies sired by Hogan!

Even though we retired her in mid April 2006, Alley still managed to garner her  invitation to the  Eukanuba National Championship show in California.  In 2005, her brother Slider was bestowed the honor of an invitation there. In addition, Alley received an invitation for Cruft’s 2006 in England which we regrettably also declined.

Alley’s show days are numbered so we just might actually make the trip to Eukanuba this year!

Currently still ranked as #5 Parti/#1 Parti Bitch, Alley just received her  invite to Westminster in February2007 —we’re thrilled to make the “IN” list !

UPDATE: Alley—Best Bred By  Exhibitor Parti and Award of Excellence Eukanuba National Championship  December 2, 2006.
